40-hour (5 days conducted once per week to ease workplace impacts) training program specifically designed for newer regulatory and enforcement personnel or those looking for a refresher. Participants will be taken beyond the basic elements of search warrant preparation and execution. Structured as an ‘enhanced’ course, the program will explore the following topics: • Best practices for obtaining and planning search warrants • Current rules pertaining to obtaining and planning search warrants • Focus on structure in preparing an effective and complete Information to Obtain (ITO).
Advanced Investigative Interviewing (Virtual Delivery) Wednesdays Oct 23 – Nov 6, (3 days)
Participants will develop legal and ethical interviewing strategies while using evidence-based approaches to generate the maximum amount of accurate information from interviewees. A modern, four-step model is the foundation that helps participants develop effective interview or interrogation strategies through a host of scenarios and Interview Scrums.
GOAL: Refine and accelerate interviewing skills through evidence-based training and a model that includes: • Human behaviour • Legal implications • Recording the Interview • Assess veracity of information and much more!
Regulatory Interviewing (Virtual Delivery) Mon Oct 28, 9 AM – 4:00 PM EDT
Participants will develop their skill sets for conducting interviews and understand their responsibilities, interview categories, and strategies needed to become a successful interviewer. Attendees will also be able to reflect on various interviewing strategies and how to shift between them.
The main objectives include: • Discuss the Interviewers mindset • Interviewing responsibly • Categories of interview subjects • Communication Strategies • Virtual Interviewing • Practical exercises
BRAND NEW! OSINT Investigation Course (Virtual Delivery) Tue Nov 12, 9 AM – 4:00 PM EDT
This new program covers Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) investigation methods and tools with OSINT definitions & applications in a regulatory world; including what is permissible under the law; useful tools and techniques for the compliance and investigation environment. Includes hands on exercises and case study reviews, integrating best practices and methodologies.
